Filler skins FAQ
What are filler skins in a CS2 trade up?
Filler skins are the cheapest input skins you put into a trade up contract to reach 10 items when only some of the inputs matter for the result. Because every input has to be the same rarity, fillers are simply the lowest priced skins of that rarity, ideally with a low float so they do not push the average float of the contract up.
How do I choose the best filler skins?
Pick the rarity you are trading up from, then sort by price. Look at the float range as well: the outcome float is the average of the input floats mapped onto each outcome, so a cheap skin that can have a very low float is worth more than an equally cheap skin with a high minimum float.
Do filler skins change my odds?
Yes. The chance of every outcome is decided by how many inputs come from each collection. A filler from a collection with poor outcomes lowers your chance at the good skins of another collection, so check the ROI and the best outcome shown on each row before you buy.
Are the prices live?
Prices come from the same market data as the calculator and refresh daily. Cheap skins sell out fast, so use the Use button to open the contract in the calculator and enter the real listing prices and floats you can buy at.
