CS2 Souvenir Trade Up: rules, odds & profit

Short answer: yes – since the CS2 update of May 22, 2026 Souvenir skins can be used in trade up contracts, even mixed with normal skins of the same rarity. The Souvenir status and stickers are removed and you receive a normal skin one rarity higher.

Souvenir trade up rules

• Inputs: Souvenir skins of one rarity, alone or mixed with normal skins of that rarity.
• Output: a normal skin of the next rarity from the collection of one of the inputs.
• Removed: Souvenir status, tournament stickers and other Souvenir attributes.
• Unchanged: 10 inputs per contract, odds per collection, normalised float formula.
• Still not allowed: mixing StatTrak™ with non-StatTrak™, mixing rarities, knives or gloves as inputs.

Odds and float

Nothing changes: each input gives its collection one tenth of the roll, divided evenly between that collection’s next-rarity skins, and the output float is min + average normalised float × (max − min). See the float guide for the exact numbers.

When is a Souvenir trade up worth it?

Only when the Souvenir input is cheaper than the normal version of the same skin and wear – the result is the same normal skin either way. Souvenirs with valuable stickers are usually worth more intact, because the stickers are lost in the contract. Map collections that were mostly released as Souvenirs can have very few normal copies on the market, which is where Souvenir inputs help most.

How to calculate it

1. Open the trade up calculator and add the skins you plan to use (the calculator lists every collection, including map collections).
2. Click each input price and type the Souvenir price you will pay.
3. Pick the marketplace fee where you will sell and read the expected value, ROI and chance of profit.
