CS2 market index and market cap (live)
Short answer: a live index of the whole CS2 skin market and of knives, gloves, rifles, pistols and cases, built from the lowest listings on up to 8 marketplaces, plus the approximate value of everything listed for sale. There is no official CS2 market cap; this page shows what can actually be measured.

How to read it
- Index: 1,000 on the first day of our history. 1,050 means the same basket of items costs 5% more than then.
- Listed value: each item’s market price times the number of copies listed on the marketplaces that report stock (Waxpeer, DMarket, White.Market, CS.TRADE, LIS-SKINS, HaloSkins). It is a snapshot of supply for sale, not the value of every item in every inventory.
- Daily close: the index updates with every price refresh; past days keep their last value of the day.
- Biggest movers: the items behind a move are on trending skins, with 24h and 7-day changes and links to buy.

What is the CS2 market cap?
There is no official figure: a true market cap would need the number of copies of every item in existence, and Valve does not publish it. Sites that show a “market cap” estimate the supply. We show what can be measured directly: the approximate value of every item currently listed on the marketplaces that report stock, and a price index for the whole market.
How is the CS2 market index calculated?
Every day we take the market price of each skin, knife, glove and case (the listing-weighted median of the lowest listing on at least three marketplaces) and compare the summed price of the items priced on both days. That daily change is chained into an index that started at 1,000 on the first day of our history. Items that appear or disappear do not move it, and one item can move it by at most 2x in a day, so a broken price cannot swing the index.
Is the CS2 skin market going up or down?
The live numbers at the top of this page show the change over 24 hours, 7 days and 30 days for the whole market and for knives, gloves, rifles, pistols and cases. For the individual items behind the moves, see trending skins.
What is not included?
Stickers, charms, agents, patches, music kits and graffiti are left out, as are items listed on fewer than three marketplaces or priced under $0.10.
