Sealed Genesis Terminal simulator
The Sealed Genesis Terminal was the first CS2 terminal (September 16, 2025). Like a case it holds a collection, the Genesis Collection’s 17 skins, but it needs no key: opening it shows up to five offers, one at a time, each with the item, its wear, exact float and a price set by Valve. You pay only for the offer you accept; decline all five and the terminal is gone. It has no knives or gloves.
Offer prices here are the current Steam Market price of that exact item and wear, and the odds are the usual weapon case odds spread over the four rarities this terminal has. Valve has not published either for terminals, so treat both as estimates.
Sealed Genesis Terminal odds
A terminal shows up to five offers, so the chance to see a rare skin is about five times the per-offer chance. A Covert offer (AK-47 | The Oligarch or M4A4 | Full Throttle) shows up in about 3.2% of terminals, 1 in 32, or about … of terminals at today’s price. Seeing an offer is not getting the item: you still pay Valve’s price for it.
How the Genesis Terminal works
- Getting one: terminals come as weekly drops or can be bought from other players on the Steam Community Market.
- Opening: no key. The first offer shows the item, its wear, exact float and price.
- Accept: you pay the offer price from your Steam Wallet, the item goes to your inventory and the terminal is used up.
- Decline: the next offer appears, up to five in total. Declining the fifth leaves the terminal unusable and you get nothing.
- No knives or gloves: the Genesis Terminal only has the 17 Genesis Collection skins. The later Sealed Dead Hand Terminal adds 22 gloves.
Is the Genesis Terminal worth opening?
Not in the way a case is. A case gives you a random item for the case plus key, and on average returns less than it costs (see the best cases to open). A terminal only lets you buy what it offers, at a price Valve sets and shows before you pay, so the money you are sure to lose is just the terminal itself when you decline everything. Accept an offer only if you would buy that exact item at that price anyway: selling it straight back on the Steam Market returns about 87% after the fee. All Genesis skins with prices for every wear are on the Genesis Collection page.

Sealed Genesis Terminal FAQ
Do you need a key to open the Sealed Genesis Terminal?
No. A terminal opens without a key. Instead of a random drop it shows up to five offers, and you pay only for the one you accept.
How many offers does a Genesis Terminal give?
Up to five, one at a time. Each shows the item, wear, exact float and price. If you decline all five, the terminal is used up and you get nothing.
Can you get a knife or gloves from the Genesis Terminal?
No. It only offers the 17 skins of the Genesis Collection; the best are the Covert AK-47 | The Oligarch and M4A4 | Full Throttle. Gloves came with the later Sealed Dead Hand Terminal.
How much do Genesis Terminal offers cost?
Valve sets the price of each offer and shows it before you accept; you pay it from your Steam Wallet. Valve has not published how the price is set. The simulator uses the current Steam Market price of the same item and wear.
When was the Genesis Terminal released?
On September 16, 2025, as the first terminal in CS2.
Can I try the Genesis Terminal for free?
Yes. The simulator above opens terminals with estimated odds and current Steam prices. Nothing is bought and no real items are involved.
